We are upgrading the oldest parts of our infrastructure as a part of our four-point plan to build a world-class grid to better serve our customers and prevent the effects of severe weather. In Dearborn, our crews are upgrading poles such as this and other pieces of equipment that have been impacted by severe weather. We have already invested nearly $5 billion over the past 5 years to support these efforts, but the transformation needed for Michigan’s future requires even more commitment. In addition to upgrading our infrastructure, we’re looking to accelerate application of technology that will be used to improve reliability in areas such as Dearborn.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming, maintenance, and infrastructure updates. All of these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability in both the short and long term.
