DTE crews were recently out in Midtown, near West Willis Street and Cass Avenue, doing maintenance work on our “fault indicators.” These devices, used to predict underground cable faults, are powered by the amperage (also known as electrical current) from our existing grid. Due to the evolution of energy use over time, our team relocated a fault indicator to an area with higher amperage. This ensures the device continues to play its part in maintaining operational standards for our underground system.
