DTE crews were out in Downtown Detroit, near Saint Antoine and East Congress Streets testing a new underground cable to ensure it meets industry standards. Our team only energizes equipment when they determine it can safely and reliably handle the city’s energy needs. This is another step towards a brighter future for Detroiters.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
