Help shape Michigan’s energy future

At DTE Energy, we are committed to building a cleaner, more reliable energy future for Michigan – and next year, DTE will file two key plans to help deliver on this commitment: the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and the Distribution System Plan (DSP). These plans will shape Michigan’s energy grid and guide our investments for years to come. We believe your input is helpful in shaping those plans. We’re dedicated to engaging with customers and stakeholders throughout this process, ensuring that our approach reflects the diverse needs and ideas of the communities we serve. Your participation in the opportunities described below help us make informed decisions and deliver solutions that benefit everyone. Together, we can power a brighter tomorrow for Michigan.

Community Conversations

DTE Energy is hosting a series of in-person community conversations across Southeast Michigan to gather feedback that will inform our 2026 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and Distribution System Plan (DSP). These two hour sessions will be held in multiple locations and are designed to hear directly from residents about how DTE can best support reliable, affordable and cleaner energy in the future.

What to Expect at the Meetings

Each two hour session will include:

  • A presentation from DTE on the planning process and goals

  • Small group discussions facilitated by Public Sector Consultants

  • An opportunity to provide feedback on the issues that matter most to you

  • Participants will be provided with dinner and refreshments

Feedback from these sessions will inform DTE’s IRP and DSP. A summary report will be shared with all registered participants after the meetings conclude. Below are the scheduled meetings, and registration links will be added as they become available.

In addition to our community conversations, DTE hosted a three-part virtual community series designed to help you better understand our energy system and the steps we’re taking to deliver safe, reliable, affordable and cleaner energy to our communities. Each session provided valuable insights into how DTE plans, invests and innovates to deliver on our commitment to our customers. Every session featured live Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and share their perspectives.
