The heavy, gusting winds last weekend caused damage and outages across Southeast Michigan. Our crews took the opportunity to make system reliability upgrades in Howell as they restored power to customers. Several crews could be seen throughout the city working to replace damaged equipment like utility poles, cabling and crossarms. In the photos below, you can see a crew working at the busy intersection of Oak Grove and M-59 in northern Howell and little farther north at the corner of Marr and Byron.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Livingston County community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
