Scotty Kehoe before his haircut.

To honor Veteran’s Day, members of the DTE Gas team raised funds for local veteran nonprofits across the state. To up the ante, the Director of Greater Michigan operations, Scotty Kehoe, agreed to cut his hair in honor of whichever branch of the military (i.e., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard & Space Force) raised the most amount of money. Not just any haircut, but rather the haircut commonly worn by that branch. Now, if you don’t know Scotty, you should know that before this fundraiser, his hair was very long. But not anymore!

Incredibly, the teams raised just over $4,000 for nonprofits across the state. The teams that selected Marine veteran nonprofits raised the most (of the total) funds. So, this means Scotty got a traditional marine (horseshoe) haircut.

We are committed to supporting the communities we serve! Raising funds for the causes throughout the communities we serve is just one of the ways we demonstrate this commitment.

Thank you to all those who have served and are serving our country.
