Customers who have driven recently along M-59 or US-23 most likely saw some of our trucks working at the main intersection of these two heavily traveled roads. That’s because our team worked alongside the city as work continues around an underground water main. Our crews temporarily disconnected an overhead power line that runs across M-59 and was on hand to assist with any work that might endanger our equipment, such as holding up a pole for stability, as pictured below. This operation, known as a “pole hold”, is a common sight when work is being done around the base of our equipment that could jeopardize its stability and consequently the power that it feeds to so many customers nearby. Just another way our team will work whenever, wherever, with whomever to ensure you have power when you need it most.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
