At Dutton Farm, the belief that every individual deserves to live with purpose and dignity is more than a mission—it’s a movement. Through inclusive programming, job creation and advocacy, Dutton Farm is helping individuals with disabilities thrive in their communities. With the support of partners like the DTE Energy Foundation, Dutton Farm continues to expand its impact.
“Dutton Farm’s commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities to live with purpose and dignity is vital to our community,” said Jenny Brown, CEO, Dutton Farm. “Our partnership with the DTE Energy Foundation not only empowers our mission, but also greatly enriches our communities. Together, we are breaking down barriers and creating pathways to meaningful employment, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
Recently, Dutton Farm received a $30,000 grant from the DTE Foundation in support of the organization’s adult education and skill-building program. Specifically, the grant will fund the horticulture and animal care activities at the farm, community involvement program, an art program and additional employment opportunities.
“At the DTE Energy Foundation, we believe that strong communities are built on inclusion, opportunity and compassion,” said Rodney Cole, president, DTE Foundation. “Dutton Farm exemplifies these values by empowering individuals with disabilities to live meaningful, purpose-driven lives. We are proud to support their mission and to help create a more equitable future where everyone has the chance to thrive.”
In 2025, Dutton Farm launched its Art Program, empowering neurodiverse individuals to explore their creativity and earn income through their artwork—fostering both confidence and entrepreneurship. The organization also secured more than 15 new job placements across industries like healthcare, food service, and retail, providing meaningful employment and vital income to ALICE families.
Additionally, expanded financial literacy training is equipping participants with essential money management skills, and job placements have already doubled compared to 2024, a testament to the team’s dedication and the strength of its community partnerships.
