A DTE crew was in Detroit on Woodward and Charlotte Street working underground to install a new circuit for the area. In order to improve service reliability, this circuit will be built with an upgraded cable that is less likely to fail. Additionally, there will be more locations with alternative power feeds so homes and businesses won’t experience disruptions during power outages. This improvement work expands and strengthens the electric grid, meeting the growing needs of the community.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
