DTE dispatched overhead and underground crews to Brighton last week to replace a utility pole near Winans Lake on Martha Grove Trail. The pole is known as a cable pole, which means it connects the overhead wiring to the underground system. The team also installed new cabling, connectors, fuses and crossarms. This work will increase reliability for dozens of customers in this neighborhood the next time weather threatens the system.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
