This story is part two in a four part series that talks about the adjustments tree trimmers make during winter months.

When the winter months come, tree trimmers have to adjust to the cold weather in a few different ways. Like many people, tree trimmers bundle up to stay warm while working outside. They make sure to bring extra clothing such as socks and gloves as well as proper winter attire like coats and boots. In icy conditions trimmers will wear ice cleats which prevents them from slipping and makes it easier to move and climb. Thick coats and layers of clothing can be somewhat challenging for tree trimming because it slows down the movement in which the trimmers can work.
