Tree trimmers returned to Detroit’s Brightmoor neighborhood recently to continue their efforts to improve the area’s reliability. Our crews climbed up several trees near Longacre and Kendall Streets and sawed-off branches that could have interfered with overhead power lines during extreme weather. This preventative work helps keep your power flowing all year long.

50% of the time our customers spend without power is due to trees and branches coming in contact with our equipment. This data and the historically stormy summer of 2021 is why DTE made a $90 million investment to accelerate tree trimming efforts across the communities we serve.   You can read more about that initiative here.
