Tree trimmers were at Palmer Road and South Crown Street clearing the way for a pole replacement. Crews cut off branches that would interfere with the new pole installation. This not only allows DTE to safely enhance the overhead system, but also ensures that branches won’t be brushing against the new equipment, improving power reliability for Westland residents.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
