Tree trimmers worked in Walled Lake and Commerce Township this week as rain clouds formed and inclement weather threatened. Luckily, the storms stayed clear of most of our territory on this day. Thanks to work like this, the next time nasty weather happens, your power will be more reliable in northern Oakland County. The jobs pictured below are at Laura Lane and Crumb Road just east of the M-5 Freeway. Our teams worked to remove overgrown branches along the main line that runs along Evershed. This work is part of DTE’s $90 million investment in tree trimming to make the grid stronger for you in north Oakland County and throughout our service area.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Oakland County community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
