Did you know trees are responsible for an overwhelming majority of outages during extreme weather? The closer tree branches grow next to power lines, the greater the risk of power disruptions. Recently, tree trimming crews worked south of the Jeffries Freeway in the backyard of a Detroit home, near Trojan Avenue and Archdale Street. They removed overgrown tree limbs that were hanging near an electrical circuit, improving reliability for nearby homes and businesses.
