DTE tree trim crews continue to make reliability improvements throughout the community in Livonia. Work was done this week near the corner of Ronnie and Park in the SMB Estates subdivision. Our crews worked safely and efficiently to remove overgrown branches off of a main line that runs north and south along Park. This work will improve reliability for thousands of customers that live in this neighborhood.

A significant amount of the time our customers spend without power is due to trees growing into power lines. This, and the historically stormy summer of 2021, is why DTE made a $90 million investment to accelerate tree trimming efforts across the communities we serve.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Livonia community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
