DTE continued its reliability improvement efforts in Livonia this week as contract crews could be seen working in the Castle Garden subdivision. A team of lineman upgraded utility poles at the corner of Houghton and Elsie. Pictured below, you can see the crew working on two new poles which are sturdier and taller than their predecessors. Along with these installs comes all-new connectors, fuses, and fiberglass crossarms. This work will strengthen the system reliability for the hundreds of customers that call this neighborhood home.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
