DTE continued its reliability improvement efforts in Wayne County this week as contract crews worked at a busy Romulus intersection. You may have seen our team working at the corner of Ecorse and Hannan, replacing old, weathered utility poles with newer, sturdier ones. We also took the opportunity to upgrade all the equipment on those poles, such as fuses, connectors, transformers and cabling. Reliability work like this continues to happen throughout Wayne County and our entire service territory as part of DTE’s $1.3 billion investment to upgrade our electric infrastructure.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
Make sure to regularly check the Wayne community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
