Hello Rochester area residents! Our overhead crews were working in Rochester Hills this past week installing a new utility pole to replace a weathered pole in a local neighborhood. Once the pole was installed, our workers safely climbed the new pole to restring the overhead power lines and connect them to the new pole.
Did you know? DTE crews inspect and upgrade thousands of utility poles throughout our electric service territory each year. Strong, sturdy utility poles are the backbone of a reliable electric system, which is why we have a pole auditing program to assess the structural integrity of all poles.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
