We have good news south Westland customers. Our team was in your area improving your reliability this week. Overhead crews worked near the corner of John Hix and Avondale replacing and upgrading a worn cable pole (cable poles combine the overhead and underground systems. You can read more about cable poles and how they improve the system here).
Our team also took the opportunity to upgrade equipment on the new pole which included new cabling, connectors and fiberglass cross arms. This work will help strengthen the local grid for customers in this area and the system this pole supports.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
