In addition to surging our work in the West Bloomfield area to increase reliability for customers, our teams are working to install new service for new residences and businesses. Last week, our overhead crews were in West Bloomfield installing a new utility pole. The work was necessary to help service a new Panera Bread restaurant that is being built across the street from the current Panera Bread location on W 14 Mile Rd.
Crews were at the location for a few hours transferring the electric feed from the current pole to the new pole across the street. The system did not need to be de-energized so no customers in the area lost power for this infrastructure update.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
