As energy use evolves over time, DTE is working to stay ahead of the consumption curve. Recently, our crews were out in Downtown Detroit installing new equipment (pictured above) to prepare for the city’s expanding energy needs. Our team installed two new net bank towers and two new transformers near Washington Boulevard and State Street. This update gives homes and businesses a greater power load to pull from, helping keep energy flowing for present and future generations of Detroiters.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
