Ensuring reliable power for all, including the city of Marysville, has always been a priority for DTE Energy. The company’s relationship with the city runs deep, built over years of collaboration. From the early days when the Marysville Gas Plant powered the city, to today’s ongoing partnership, DTE remains committed to supporting the community’s growth and ensuring it has the resources needed to thrive.

“DTE is part of the Marysville team,” said Marysville City Manager Randy Fernandez. “Whether it’s upgrading the grid or responding to outages, they’ve become part of the fabric of our city. I’ve seen firsthand how their investment in technology and maintenance has improved reliability—whether it’s pinpointing outages faster or stepping up tree trimming efforts. We all have to work together as a team to solve the problems, and DTE has shown they’re committed to doing just that.”

DTE’s connection to Marysville extends beyond infrastructure. When Randy suggested the creation of the Marysville Community Endowment Fund, DTE recognized an opportunity to contribute to something lasting. The company’s support helped establish the fund, which continues to benefit local schools, public safety departments and organizations like the Lions Club and local soup kitchens.
