A main intersection in Lyon Township is getting upgrades, and DTE crews were there this week to join the party. A new roundabout is being installed at the corner of Nine Mile and Currie. While some of our equipment had to be relocated to accommodate construction, our overhead team took the opportunity to upgrade utility poles with new equipment and remove an old, weathered pole. While relocating a regulator, our team installed a new pole, cross arms, connectors, fuses and cabling. This work will make the system stronger for when bad weather — and traffic — circles back around.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
