DTE crews were recently in Detroit’s Midtown continuing the process of installing a new net bank on Peterboro Street and Park Avenue. What is a net bank? A group of transformers which provide power sources to homes and businesses. Our team recently installed protective covers over the wires that run down from the transformers. As you can see in the photo above, these steel covers connect to the steel column of the structure that the net bank sits on. This equipment protects the wires from damage and keeps pedestrians out of harm’s way, allowing power to safely and reliably flow for the community.

Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
