DTE crews could be seen working in Westland recently as they worked to upgrade a utility pole for homes near a busy intersection. This work was done near the corner of Joy and Wayne on power lines that run east and west through a nearby neighborhood. The utility pole pictured below received upgraded equipment like cabling, fuses and fiberglass crossarms which are much more durable than wood. Work like this serves to strengthen the system for the many customers that call this area home, helping keep their power on when they need it most.
