DTE crews were out in Detroit near Avery and Putnam Streets making updates to the electric grid. They installed one new pole and upgraded equipment on an existing pole. The new pole was installed with high quality fiberglass material while the existing pole was enhanced with new secondary wires. These updates will support the construction of a new business and allow DTE to mitigate electrical disruptions more efficiently for existing homes and businesses.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
