DTE crews worked in Royal Oak, near Oakdale and West Fourth Streets, to replace an outdated, weathered utility pole with a new one. Our team upgraded to a pole with a state-of-the-art fiberglass cross arm, where the previous pole contained an older wooden cross arm. The crew is pictured above, carefully and safely transferring equipment from one pole to the other. This grid update strengthens the overhead system, improving reliability for nearby residents.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
