Many of our customers were impacted by severe weather over the weekend. One of our crews was out in Oak Park replacing burnt wires today. Heavy winds caused trees around a power line to sway, which ultimately knocked down the lines and left our customers without power. Tree trimmers cleared out the branches around the wires, and the crew replaced the fallen power lines, restoring power to customers in the neighborhood.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
