DTE tree trim crews were out in Bloomfield Township, on Square Lake Rd. near Eastways, working to improve reliability for customers. Tree trimming is one of the fastest and most effective ways to improve reliability. The crew carefully removed overgrown branches away from main electric lines with the goal of making sure your power is there when you need it the next time inclement weather hits.
DTE recently made a $90 million investment to accelerate its tree trimming efforts across the communities (you can read more about that initiative here). The work described above further shows our commitment to this effort.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
