Folks in Bloomfield Hills saw some significant equipment upgrades this week. DTE overhead crews replaced and upgraded three transformers on Oak Hills Drive just south of Maple. This included new connectors and cabling in addition to the aforementioned transformers, which are capable of carrying a much heavier load. This work will improve the power supply for nearby Oakland Hills Country Club as well as the reliability for customers who live near this area.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short and long term.
