DTE Energy is committed to providing our customers with the power they need and the reliability they deserve. To support that commitment, DTE crews have been working at a substation in Armada, Michigan, replacing an out-of-commission transformer. The replacement is crucial to ensuring reliable power for those areas of Macomb County.

To help with this transition, crews utilized a diesel generator to keep power flowing to the surrounding area during the replacement process. The use of a generator ensured customers in the area experience minimal disruption to their daily lives while crews worked. Maintenance such as this is crucial to providing reliable, uninterrupted power to customers.

Later, the poles pictured below also will be replaced to better serve our substation.

The new transformer, along with future maintenance and reliability improvement work at the Armada substation, will help provide dependable power to customers in the area now and far in the future.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability in the short and long term.
