DTE Energy’s Hallelujah for Heat returns for its 15th year on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Fellowship Chapel (7707 W. Outer Drive, Detroit). Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert takes place from 6 to 8 p.m.
This milestone celebration features Grammy Award-winning recording artist Ricky Dillard and New G, Detroit gospel favorite Minister Lisa Page-Brooks and emceed by Detroit radio personality Randi Myles.
Hallelujah for Heat is a free, community gospel concert, and serves as the official kick-off for The Heat and Warmth Fund’s (THAW) Week of Warmth, which provides critical energy assistance to Michigan families during the winter months. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Register at DTEH4H2026.eventbrite.com.
“Week of Warmth helps ensure Michigan families are aware that assistance is available, even before the coldest months of the year arrive,” said Katrina McCree, CEO of THAW. “For 15 years, Hallelujah for Heat has served as a meaningful start to that effort, bringing people together through music and faith while raising awareness of the need for energy assistance across our state, while also shining a light on the critical need for energy assistance. We are grateful for DTE’s longstanding partnership and support of THAW’s mission. As we begin this year’s Week of Warmth, we look forward to connecting more families with the resources they need to stay safe, warm and stable this winter.”
THAW’s Week of Warmth runs until Sunday, Nov. 1. More information on THAW’s Week of Warmth and ways to give, visit THAWFund.org.
“After 15 years, Hallelujah for Heat continues to bring our community together, filling the room with hope, joy and a shared sense of purpose,” said Evette Hollins, DTE vice president and chief customer officer. “That same spirit is at the heart of our partnership with THAW and our shared commitment to keeping families safe and warm in the communities we’re proud to serve.”
Over the past 15 years, the Hallelujah for Heat stage has welcomed gospel legends including Pastor John P. Kee and the New Life Community Choir, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin and others – making it one of the most anticipated gospel events in Detroit.
