- Explore billing programs to help you manage your business’s budget
Review last winter’s energy use
- Look at your previous bills and usage in your online account to understand how cold weather affected your business
- Identify when energy usage was highest and consider whether operating hours, equipment or temperature settings contributed to the increase
Prepare your business
- Complete regular maintenance on your HVAC system
- Replace or clean air filters regularly to improve airflow and keep your system operating efficiently
- Install a programmable thermostat and program/update it to your business’s winter schedule
- Seal drafts around windows and doors, and add insulation where needed to help keep warm air inside
