DTE Energy’s investment of more than $1 billion in its electric grid last year helped keep the lights on consistently for more customers in 2022. Across DTE’s electric service territory, customers experienced 21% fewer power interruptions in 2022 than in 2021.

“We’re pleased to report we have made significant strides in improving reliability for our customers,” said Matt Paul, executive vice president, Distribution Operations, DTE Energy. “It’s clear that as we invest in the grid, our customers benefit from improved, reliable power.”

In Wayne County, DTE completed more than 1,200 miles of tree trimming and inspected 865 miles of circuits, upgrading equipment as needed. Reliability increased by 58% in areas across the county where DTE has focused its work. Within the city of Detroit, this work resulted in a 68% increase in reliability for Detroiters

DTE Energy is continually investing in its grid, providing the power you need and the reliability you deserve.
