Cold weather and a tough-to-reach job site didn’t keep DTE crews from installing equipment upgrades in Howell this week. Two old utility poles were replaced and upgraded near the corner of Beattie Road and Coon Lake Road just north of Pardee Lake. In addition to two new, taller and sturdier poles, our team fitted each pole with new cabling, fuses, connectors and fiberglass cross arms (a more durable alternative to the previous wooden ones). One of the poles also received a new transformer. It’s jobs like these that our skilled line men and women perform day in and day out. This kind of work is vital to strengthen our infrastructure, so your power is there when you need it most.
