For five years, DTE Energy’s hard work and dedication to local communities have resulted in Points of Light naming us one of the top 50 most community-minded companies in the United States with its Civic 50 Award.
The Civic 50 survey is a framework for good corporate citizenship and selects companies based on four dimensions of their community engagement program – investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems and impact measurement.
DTE was named #1 in the Utilities Sector for The Civic 50 Sector Leader & Volunteer Award. This notable achievement was made possible by our team members and our partnerships with valued organizations throughout the state. Here are some of the major accomplishments:
- 70,247 hours volunteered, including hands-on, skills-based and pro-bono volunteerism.
- $34,614,823 invested in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
- $220,595,069 contributed to in-kind, community engagement services and programs.
This year, we remained focused on our communities through our key pillars, including:
- Arts & Culture
- Human Needs
- Community Transformation
- Economic Progress
- Education & Employment
- Environment
