DTE crews were in a Royal Oak neighborhood, on 13 Mile and Devon Rd, installing new equipment to improve power reliability for local homes. They replaced an old, weathered pole with one that is more resilient to the elements. The linemen are pictured above, transferring wires from the old pole to the new and improved one. They also upgraded the pole’s transformer to better serve the neighborhood’s energy needs. These system upgrades will decrease the likelihood of future storms causing power outages in the community, keeping residents in service when they need it most.
