At DTE, we’re focused on serving our customers, communities and each other. But sometimes we see people outside of our area that need our help even more. That’s true now in several different places, and the DTE Foundation is taking action to help people experiencing flooding in Tennessee, dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana, Afghan refugees seeking relocation, and the Haitian community recovering from the earthquake.
Considering the impact of these disasters on our colleagues, friends and neighbors – and their loved ones – our company stepped up to help. As we are digging out of storm issues in our region – we continue to reach out to others that are desperate in our nation and abroad. The DTE Foundation granted:
- $15,000 to the American Red Cross, to support Hurricane relief efforts
- $10,000 to the Salvation Army – Tennessee for flood assistance
- $10,000 to Samaritas as they relocate Afghan families to Michigan
- $10,000 to Ayiti Community Trust, to support relief and long-term recovery
