As the 1-94 expressway is being expanded in Detroit, DTE is making sure the construction project doesn’t impact the community’s electric service. A DTE crew worked in a manhole on the corner of Cass Avenue and Burroughs Street. This is part of the crew’s process to reroute the underground system so that it’s not disrupted by the road construction work, ensuring Detroiters have the power they need, when they need it.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.

Make sure to regularly check the Detroit – District 6 community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
