DTE crews worked last week in Bloomfield Hills to replace and upgrade three worn utility poles with sturdier, taller ones, to give better clearance from the tree line. Each pole was upgraded with new cabling and fiberglass crossarms. One of the replaced poles fed into an adjacent neighborhood from Birmingham Covington School and received an upgraded transformer. This work was done on Quarton Rd. backing into Dunston Court, and will improve the reliability of the grid for the hundreds of customers that live in the neighborhood.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.

Make sure to regularly check the Bloomfield Hills community page to learn more about what’s going on in your neighborhood. You can also follow DTE on Facebook and Twitter for even more updates and information.
