Good news, West Bloomfield customers! Last week, our crews made significant upgrades to equipment in your area. The crew pictured below was working at the corner of Buckland and Green Lake Rd. Our team not only replaced a weathered utility pole with a new, much thicker pole, but also took the opportunity to upgrade all the equipment to modernize the grid for improved service in the future. They did this by replacing the wooden crossarms with stronger fiberglass arms, installing stronger insulators and putting in new cables. This work should help improve reliability for about a dozen homes along Buckland.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
