You may have noticed a DTE crew in Oak Park on Seneca St and Northfield Blvd performing work on utility poles, such as the one pictured below which needed a new crossarm. Over time, poles can get damaged from wear and tear. DTE regularly performs maintenance work on equipment to meet durability and safety standards. Our crew replaced the broken section with a brand-new part, keeping power safely flowing to Oak Park homes and businesses when they need it.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.
