Our crews were out in Highland Township working on replacing old poles. First workers need to set the pole into the ground and make sure it is evenly placed. From there, all the equipment from the old pole will be transferred to the new pole. Workers start at the top of the pole with primary lines and crossarms and work their way down the remainder of the pole. Installing new poles helps us deliver reliable power to neighboring homes and businesses.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.
