We’re lucky to have so many wonderful Halloween options across Michigan that we can enjoy with loved ones! Check out some of the spook-tacular events we’re looking forward to this fall

Southeast Michigan

Cider in the City at Beacon Park – Cider in the City is back at Beacon Park! On Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22, enjoy free, seasonal adult and family fun activities. Event features include pumpkin picking and painting, make-and-take crafts, craft cocktails and seasonal beer selections and mocktails, horse-drawn hayrides around the park, lawn games, live music featuring DJs and more. Plus, join in for the ultimate Michigan rivalry for the Michigan State University vs. University of Michigan football game on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Trek Detroit Midtown Halloween Ride – Looking for a casual Halloween cruise with your friends and family? Trek Bicycle Detroit Midtown is hosting a free Halloween-themed group ride at their Royal Oak and Grosse Pointe locations on Oct. 26 from 6-8 p.m. After the ride, enjoy tasty treats and free swag.

Royal Oak Rec Center Halloween Fest – Head down to Normandy Oaks Park Oct. 27 for some outdoor Halloween fun, all for free. Activities include a rock climbing wall and inflatable obstacle course starting at 5 p.m. until dark, and trick-or-treating starting at 5:30 p.m. While you’re there, stop by The Little Donut Factory for some hot chocolate, hot and cold cider and ready-to-order donuts.

The Nightmare Before Christmas 30th Anniversary Movie Night at Beacon Park – Are you ready for a night of spooky Halloween fun? All of you goblins and ghosts are invited to visit Beacon Park on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 in the park’s heated tent for the 30th-anniversary screening of the Tim Burton classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas! During this family-favorite movie night, guests can enjoy delicious popcorn from our local vendor and refreshing cocktails, mocktails and craft beer from Lumen Detroit.

Fall Fun Fest Macomb at Deneweth’s Garden Center – The Perfect “Do-it-all” Halloween event that is great fun for the whole family. On Saturdays and Sunday during the month of October, Deneweth’s Garden Center will be hosting fun Halloween events that include a corn maze, spooky tractor rides, a straw maze and inflated haunted houses from 12-5 p.m.

Canterbury Village’s Halloween Stroll – Every Friday through Sunday until Oct. 29, stroll through the village and experience the stirring sights and sounds of the season. Further activities include themed exhibits like the haunted pet cemetery and creepy circus, as well as a musical light show.

West Michigan

Ada Pumpkin Prowl – Head to Ada for some family-friendly Halloween fun and trick-or-treating on Oct. 27 from 5-8 p.m… The Pumpkin Prowl will feature live music, pumpkin treats, a movie in Legacy Park, a haunted passage and more.

Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics – Fountain Street Church will be hosting a night of Halloween-inspired tunes under the soft glow of candlelight on Oct. 28 starting at 6 p.m. Attendees can hear many classic Halloween songs like Thriller, The Addams Family Theme, The Stranger Things Theme, and many other renditions of beloved Halloween songs.

Murder Mystery: A Masquerade Dinner – Calling all murder mystery fans, a fun night of gathering clues and crime-solving awaits you. At this Halloween-themed masquerade ball for adults, experience a buffet dinner before starting the games and finding the masked menace before they get away. This entertaining event takes place Oct. 28 and doors open at 4:45 p.m.

Northern Michigan

Traverse City 5k Zombie Run – Traverse City is hosting its annual Halloween 5k run Oct. 30 at 9 a.m.. Attendees are welcome to dress in their most frightening zombie costumes as they run (or zombie walk) the race. Stick around after the race for the medal ceremony, costume prizes and music. 

Downtown Petoskey Trick-or-Treat – All families are welcome for this trick-or-treating event, along with a Halloween-themed parade. The parade will be Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will run from Central Elementary down Howard Street to Pennsylvania Park in Downtown Petoskey.
