Customers in Oakland County have seen an increase in tree trimming efforts this year and recently those efforts were seen improving reliability for customers in Birmingham. This crew pictured below was working in the South Poppleton subdivision on N. Worth St. between Knox and Ridgedale. Our team safely and efficiently removed overgrown branches off mainlines that serve power to hundreds of customers in this neighborhood. Tree trim crews have been working all year long at an accelerated rate throughout our service territory as part of DTE’s $90 million initiative.
You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long-term.
