Our crews were out in Garden City Township replacing an old capacitor with a new updated one. Capacitors help keep voltage and current flow in sync, and boosts voltage on the lines when it is low, so homes and businesses receive a steady and reliable stream of power. Crew trucks are shown below, lined up along Maplewood St. near Garden Ave. to work on a utility pole near the road. Voltage is affected more during summer months because of many homes using air conditioning at the same time.
