Fellowship Chapel in Detroit became a hub of hope and support in late October as DTE Energy teamed up with The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) to host DTE’s Customer Resource Fair.

This community-focused event wasn’t just about providing help – it was about making a real difference for families facing financial challenges. More than 400 community members received critical assistance from DTE and a variety of human service agencies.

DTE team members worked side by side with THAW to connect customers with essential resources and financial assistance programs. The fair offered help with State Emergency Relief (SER) Copay Assistance, Low-Income Self-Sufficiency Plan (LSP) enrollment, payment assistance and one-time payments, ensuring that families facing financial challenges could keep their homes safe and warm as winter approaches.

“This is why I’m so passionate about my work,” said Lovie Wilson, senior program manager, DTE. “There’s something powerful about being there in person, hearing what customers need and letting them know they’re not alone. It’s about building real relationships, showing up for our community and making sure every attendee is seen, heard and supported.”

By teaming up with THAW, DTE is making sure families get the support they need, because no one should have to face tough times alone.
