Hello Detroit. We wanted to take a moment to spotlight some of the strides our teams made to improve your service in 2021 and share some great news as we turn the page to 2022. Our Empowering Michigan page is making it easier for you to see the work happening around you with redesigned community blogs. We want to keep you informed of what our crews are doing to prevent future power interruptions in your neighborhood.
If you’ve been watching this page over the last several weeks, you’ve probably noticed an increase in our updates on our improvement work in your area. That’s because people from across our communities have asked about what work is being done near them to prevent outages. We are committed not just to improving power reliability (see our recent pledge to spend an additional $70 million on tree trimming here, but also to let you know what we’re doing each step of the way.
In addition to this page which tracks the work in your area, we’re also keeping others updated with specific pages for their neighborhoods — here’s the full list:

Whether it be storm restoration, tree trimming, equipment maintenance or new installs, our team will be committed to showing you all the work being done right in your backyard.

You may see more of our crews in the coming months as part of our accelerated electric reliability projects in your area, including more tree trimming and infrastructure updates. All these projects are underway to improve your service and reliability for the short- and long term.
