Hundreds of DTE volunteers collected and delivered school supplies to help more than 1,000 students get a heads start to learning this fall. Saline Area Social Services and Community Action Network will distribute the truck loads of backpacks and supplies to families in the Washtenaw areas.
DTE volunteers conducted sessions on renewable energy for campers at Washtenaw County Playground Camps in August. Campers learned about electrical circuits and the science around wind and solar energy. Each camper got to make a model wind turbine to take home.
